Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011)

I am a huge fan of the Harry Potter books, they're all so great and magical. But I didn't think the film series were perfect at all, but they were still great movies. With that, I was extremely excited to see the end of the film franchise, and impressed with the trailers. So I had high expectations. And thankfully it did not disappoint, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, blew past my already high expectations and I was enthralled!

The whole movie looked spectacular! The cinematography extremely well done, the art direction was incredible. The movie was beautiful to look at, the visuals were spectacular and truly Oscar worthy! The set designers, cinematographers really need to be awarded for their work, because it looks like they spend of time and money on the look of the film.

The cast of the film was pretty much perfect, they should all be applauded too. Emma Watson, as usual is and great and she'll have a bright career ahead of her. Rupert Grint is pretty much great also, he is a fine actor indeed. Daniel Radcliffe did an amazing job and was very memorable as Harry Potter. Although I think Ralph Fiennes was the star of the film, he did unbelievable job as the evil, crazy Lord Voldemort, I think he deserves an Oscar Nomination for his role. The rest of the cast were also great too.

We all grew up overtime with the series, we followed the adventures of Harry Potter for around 10 years, I think. It seems very weird that there will be no more Harry Potter films to look forward too. I will miss the franchise very much! However I am happy the series got an amazing ending. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II is not only the best film in the series, but it will probably be one of the best films of 2011. Everyone should see this film, even if they don't like past Harry Potter films.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)

This film is a nice break from the hectic pacing of the last ones. Ever since the third film, when 2 1/2 hours became much too short for an adequate adaptation of the books, the movies have been rather loveless attempts to squeeze just enough information into the limited time to allow for a superficial understanding of the main story lines. This one, on the other hand, takes its times, which is its greatest strength, and stays rather close to the book. On multiple occasions I was really surprised when another detail that wasn't strictly necessary to the main plot was graciously allowed its space.

This is a very good adaptation that makes me wish they had started making two-part movies out of the books earlier. And since it already covers about 3/4 of the book, I am looking forward to a similarly (or even more?) detailed second part.

Deliver Us from Evil (2014)

A very good scary movie. I think the critics knocking it just do not like the exorcism genre. If you liked The Rite or The Conjuring you will like this movie. A story with characters you care about. Also based on a true story which of course means there are certain liberties taken with it but that makes it more interesting. This was a scary movie with brains. The background and setting reminded me a bit of the movie Seven. The priest is the most interesting character. I normally am not a huge fan of Eric Bana but he plays the role of the detective well. This could also be classified as a crime thriller with a supernatural twist.

Lucy (2014)

I gave it good rating because it is one of the amazing movie i have seen in recent time. The way they have depicted the whole concept the pretty amazing.

Some part of the movie i an unable to understand like why she shoot an innocent Taxi driver just because he does not know English. I feel that part was not necessary as just after that they have shown that as soon as she reached hospital so she is able to understand all the things which was mention there.

Some of the things in this movie was good and some of the things went over from my mind as don't able to understand what directory want to show in the movie.

Overall i can say its worth watching one time.

Interstellar (2014)

Interstellar is a jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring, beautiful, complex and thrilling adventure. The film is a mix of Spielberg's warmth, Kubrick's brain and Malick's beauty.Visually it is one of the best film ever made if not the best. Totally, is it the best film ever made? i don't know. A film of this scope and ambition is sure to have some narrative flaws here and there but it is beyond my ability to judge a film like this and find flaws in first viewing. May be i need to see it again to find any flaws, hell why should i find flaws while enjoyed it immensely.

Performances were great. Hans Zimmer music was terrific and loud at times. Endurance docking and ghost subplot gave me chills. Some of the stuff is hard to understand like the Gravitational singularity, Relativity and 5 Dimensional space. But Nolan connected the dots between them very efficiently and mixed them with love and humanity. If you are a sucker for these things, the film will transcend you into it or else it feels overly sentimental.

Don't miss it. I recommend you to watch it.

The Book of Life (2014)

Book of life is one of the most colorful and original set designs I have every seen in an animated movie, especially in that is CGI animation.

This movie toke a real surrealistic style to the character design in order to pay homage to Mexican culture.

It's a classic fairy tale being told in a story within a story manner, with a museum tour guide telling a group of kids a fairy tale of three children who lives will effect the center of the universe, aka Mexico, when Gods gamble on what type of people they would be as adults.

Although as a semi-musical, the Glee approach in mixing in original content with contemporary hits kind of lessened the originality of the flick, but as a whole the movie was quite entertaining.

Extraterrestrial (2014)

As I got to 30 minutes into it, I thought I'll hate this movie. The beginning and the middle are cliché but the ending is a surprising twist even though a lot of the stuff is "borrowed". If you are a fan of sci-fi you will recognize certain ideas and scenes from older hit movies-series, but I guess it was all intentional with a goal to bring these to younger audiences. About the ending, I must say I didn't see that coming and at first it made me angry but then I recognized a character at the end and it all got clear. It had the perfect ending that made this movie unique. As I look back I realize the movie makers actually had the intention of mixing up a classic teenage horror with the classic sci-fi - conspiracy theory genre. I do recommend this film if you are into the genres I mentioned earlier.

Leprechaun: Origins (2014)

When you watch this film it was very obvious that I want to show to people what "reboot" means. Clearly they wanted with this remake more horror and less comedy, which seem not to work at all. Because really the funny part of the leprechaun film was what it made so great, combined with Horror.

What they do with the remake is doing a complete horror film and that is not the way to Honor the original first Leprechaun film. The Leprechaun in this remake is made as a creature; like a monster. And the thing what was so important in the original was that the leprechaun isn't a monster or a creature. He is a character.

Watch it and tell me what in your mind?

Ouija (2014)

Sunday evening, I went and saw the movie "Ouija". I insisted I would not see this movie, because to be honest I was too scared. Something about summoning spirits just horrifies me! But I went with a few friends so that comforted me a little. I was extremely anxious going into the movie because I was so scared and after watching it, I had every right to be! This movie was definitely scary. Maybe it is because I was already nervous but I will say I was not disappointed! The movie had me jumping and covering my eyes the entire time! My friend next to me was squeezing my hand so hard, I thought all blood circulation was going to stop in my hand! Coming home that night, I was so scared I had to walk in with my flashlight on my phone just to turn on the lights in my house! As scary and good as it was, I wouldn't say this will go down in the "Horror Movie Hall of Fame" but it is definitely one I would suggest to anyone to go see!
